Abhyanga30 – Ayurvedic Oil Massage
The word Abhyangam is a Sanskrit word which consists of 2 parts; Abhi means “to apply” and Angam means “Part of body parts”. Abhyangam is anointing and massaging Ayurvedic blend of oil all over the body.
Abhyanga 1 need to be selected only when you are taking a one treatment on a single visit or may be combined with Swedanam Steam bath. Traditionally, Abhyangam massage in Ayurveda is performed to prepare our body before getting other Ayurvedic therapies. Selection of oil for Abhyangam massage is based on specific personality type of the person getting it. But it is alost impractical to perform personality type analysis in all Guests visiting our Center. Hence Ayurway Ayurvedic Wellness uses Triphala blend of oil to perform the Abhyangam massage which has the property of balancing all 3 Doshas/Energies at the same time. Triphala oil blend is mainly made of dry fruits of Amla (Emblica officinalis), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), and Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica).
